We have created over a hundred characters and we could easily create a hundred more. But we also like to deepen and reuse our friends. Already when we launched ‘the Secret of the Acorn Valley’ a collection with four characters (George, Arthur, Harper, Ivy & Marion) we felt strongly about them. They kind of had their own little world in the world. Do you remember?
The little folks of Acorn Valley are so small that they can fit on the smallest fingernail. But their secret is not that they are small, it is something entirely different. Since long time ago they run a secret brewery, or what the the folks use to call it, the invisibility factory.
As soon as we said the word invisibility factory, it felt obvious that these friends will be with us for a long time.
Miss Ivy is a warden, not one with jingling keys in a corridor, but a master of security. The Acorn Valley Brewery is their best kept secret and it needs to stay that way. Around the small town there is a high wall, but it is not enough for protection. Ivy rules her guard force with love and has more than a hundred flying guards and they all live together in the tallest tower, where each guard has its own floor.
And by the love of their story they become both poster and wallsticker och birthday cards.
Miss Ivy was recently repurposed into our new concept Custom Project where she, along with all one hundred previous characters, is available for special orders.
See here for example, Miss Iris who previously only existed in 18×24 cm, now see how majestic she can become!
Back to the brewery… Why is an invisibility factory really needed? The need arose the day peace was created without war, when it turned out that invisibility became a quiet solution. But also as a break, becoming invisible for a while proved to have a great health effect. From her flower, Marion scouts for the need for invisibility time and sends out potions to those in need. So to anyone who needs to stop and turn invisible for a while, send Marion a wish.
You hear. Not enough with posters, wall stickers and birthday cards. Of course, Miss Marion must be reused one more time.
Because surely we need to sprinkle health effects on the children? Marion was an easy choice to highlight in the wallpaper collaboration with Rebel Walls. See all motifs in our previous blog post here.
So we reuse our characters, based on their traits. Not so much on the looks but because of how much we like them deep down!
