The new ladies in our lives, Ladies of the Lake

Lady Ebony
…She rubs the sleep out of her eyes and gazes across a desolate lake. Slowly she brings nature back to life. Dew must climb the blade of grass, the wind must awaken the treetops and the tension from the depths of the lake must find its way to the surface. Other than that, all is still. And completely silent. A little soundless push is all that’s needed. She provides strength if you take the first step.

Lady Chestnut
… Now is the time to rice to the surface, breathe in air. Take in the surrounding beauty and answer the questions. To warm yourself from inside, listen and understand. To give more and expect less, to be grateful. She provides love and asks for nothing in return.

Lady Lake
…Daybreak arrives. Chilly air hangs languidly above the lake’s mirror-like surface.  The damp mist eases as the sun slowly appears and day begins, guiding all intentions. A new day. New questions. Breathe in, summon strength. Conquer those fears. She provides hope if you dare to believe.

… Heavy breaths are heard from over there in the reeds. All that’s seen the clear moonlight is shiny, pitch-black water under a canopy of glittering stars. There’s work to be done. Her eyelids flutter and quietly, quickly her mouth moves too. The time is now. She provides answers if you ask the right questions.

Lady Ivory
… The sun sits in gigantic orange arc at the far end of the dazzling lake. Enveloping the whole world in a warm glow, before it emits the last rays and everything goes black. Often it will take just a few short seconds, and then the moment has passed. But in that moment, the door is open. She provides trust if you open your heart.

Ivory was the first motive in this collection, she convinced us that we would dare. On Thursday, September 24, we launch the women in our lives. Proud, strong and brave women who there are a whole bunch of around us, in our everyday lives, a phone call away, in a comment. You know exactly who you are and you are the inspiration for Ladies of the Lake.
